Flo’s pumpkin scones, coronation chicken, and a glass of bubbly are all on menu this Mother’s Day at Hoi Polloi, Old Parliament House.

Treat Mum to a special day out in the iconic heritage building with a menu that celebrates some of the characters and key moments of its history.

Make a day of it or walk off that scrumptious food by exploring the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) and its many historical and contemporary exhibitions. Reminisce about – or discover – the Queen’s 1954 visit to Australia, with Prince Phillip, just a year after her coronation in Happy and Glorious. Check out Behind the Lines: the year in political cartoons 2020, or just wander around, soaking up the charm and character of Old Parliament House.

Hoi Polloi will be open for two sittings on Sunday 9 May at 11:30 and 1pm. Check out the full menu with sweet and savoury delights. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.
