Farrer Ridge is looking to get in on that sweet, sweet flower-loving tourist market.
If you’re a lover of perambulating amongst nature, you may want to check it out.
Floriade isn’t the only place you can take in the beautiful flowers this spring, the Farrer RidgeParkcare Group will make the most of the season on their annual spring wildflowers walk at 10 am this Sunday, 15 September 2013.
“We welcome members of the community to see and learn to identify the flowers that Farrer Ridge keeps in hiding until spring,” Odile Arman, Manager, Community and Visitor Programs said today.
“The two hour walk will be hosted by the knowledgeable volunteers from Farrer Ridge Parkcare Group and will commence at 10 am from the meeting place at the top of Muresk Street, Farrer.”
Wendy Rainbird, the coordinator of the volunteer group said, “Walkers can expect to see an array of nodding blue lily and silver wattle in bloom.
“There will be photo opportunities, so I encourage participants to bring their cameras as well as binoculars, hats and walking shoes.”
