Raising my eyebrows this morning is Meredith Hunter coming to the Dozspotian view on sending government education dollars chasing disabled students where ever they may be found:

The ACT Government announced one off, ad hoc funding of $2m to the non-government sector to support students with disabilities in the 2012/13 budget.

The ACT Greens today committed to making the $2m funding recurrent until the Gonski funding model is implemented to ensure that students with disabilities co ntinue to get the benefit of this extra support.

“The Greens are committed to a schools funding model that is based on the actual needs of the student, and students with disabilities in non-government schools do need support,” Ms Hunter said.
