Following the death of a 65 year old man who tired to stop two runaway horses last year, the ACT Coroner has suggested we improve the way we park (couple) horses and carriages, reports ABC News.
As a result of the death Coroner Bernadette Boss has recommended the territory government adopt the rules set out by the Australian Carriage Driving Society at public events.
She says during coupling horses should be facing and close to an immovable object.
The government has agreed in-principle.
The government has agreed in-principle?
What does that mean?
“The government has agreed that things have been said to it, and it has heard these things, and doesn’t think they are wrong necessarily.”
