The ABC is reporting that pre-election polling begun over the weekend, and delightfully myself and the rest of my family were contacted, although I am no longer eligable for voting in this years ACT election, so theres a small problem to begin with.

Field Works Market Research have begun calling Canberrans over the weekend with a range of questions to solicit views ranging from whether raging John Stanhope is seen as arrogant and whether you really give a stuff about the Liberals infighting, your personal information hangover from the inquest into the Bushfires and also briefly covered land prices, new developments and whether you intend on sticking around for the next five years.

Did anyone else cop a call from these delightful folks and did they use your surname as your first?

[ED – The Greens are also having a poke at this issue while crowing about improved numbers in the NT election (crucially only in the seats they chose to content)]

Wait till I run one day. Thanks to my last name starting with Z I already have my slogan; ‘Vote Z instead!’

…oh wait.

Of course their polling, their spending enough money on bloody advertising they’d be hoping to see some return by now. I’m sick of it already and we are still a fair way out. Mind you, it has been fairly saturation advertising from the Canberra Liberals and including Giulia with a G (reminds me a bit of don’t put a tick….) and the rest of the new breed of Liberals.

Either way, by the time the election come up, we’ll be so mind numbingly over it no one will care who votes for whom?
