Zed and Jeremy ride again with more for mental health:

ACT Opposition Leader Zed Seselja and ACT Shadow Health Minister Jeremy Hanson announced today if elected, a Canberra Liberals Government will improve access to mental health services in the ACT. Mr Seselja said the Canberra Liberals will increase funding by $275,000 each year for the Mental Health Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team.

“People who suffer from mental illnesses often require longer hospital stays due to other related health problems and a lack of support for them in the community,” Mr Seselja said.

“Current services by Mental Health ACT do not provide an effective 24 hour a day, seven day a week mental health service.

“The Canberra Liberals will ensure that the Health Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team have adequate staff on duty at all times, plus adequate on-call staff at all times,” Mr Seselja concluded.
