The ABC reports that Phillips suspicious death was well known to his neighbourhood as the go-to guy for drugs:
Neighbours of an apparent murder victim in Canberra’s south say the man was a well known drug dealer.
The body of a 71-year-old man was found in his Mansfield Place unit in Phillip on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say he had only been dead for a couple of hours.
They are treating the death as suspicious but have released few details.
Neighbours though says the man was a drug dealer.
“I’ve lived here for about two years and this is the second death that I’m aware of in the neighbourhood that’s related to drugs,” one neighbour said.
“So it’s a bit of a concern.”
