North Lyneham fire being treated as suspicious

Police have called for witnesses following a large house fire in North Lyneham early Sunday morning (26 March).

Emergency services were called to a home in Cossington Smith Crescent at about 2:45 am to find it ablaze.

The fire was extinguished by ACT Fire and Rescue crews, however it was significantly damaged.

The property was not being lived in and police don’t believe anyone was inside at the time of the fire.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the Cossington Street Crescent property before 2:45 am on Sunday has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference 7387444.
