Isn’t Canberra a bit far from the beach to host an ironman event?

I have always wondered how it is possible that name is allowed to be used in this country for an endurance event involving swimming. I guess our trademark and copyright laws aren’t applied as ridiculously or as mean spiritedly as in America.
