Rolo's Pizza - RIP

I wandered through the bus interchange in Civic to day and noticed that Rolo’s pizza slices is gone – replaced by a cocktail lounge!

Many a late night transfer from one side of Civic to the other was fueled by a slice of Rolo’s pizza – it will be missed

Have to say will miss the “original” Rolos Pizza but I heard that you can order specialty pizza in the Cocktail Lounge so all is not lost.
Nice idea to have a quite place for a good cocktail. Anyone been there yet?

I recall in the very early 2000s a friend if my girlfriend was running place. Saw the back area/basement type thing. Didn’t look like it had changed since the early 1800s. Which considering they started building it in the 1920s….

In the early 90’s a lunchtime pizza was $5.95 which was a complete meal.

Many a long DIR lunch was held there.

I remember a story my mate told me about 15 years ago of a Friday lunchtime when the place was packed. After waiting a long while and no sign of the order being taken the mate pulled out the phone and ordered a takeaway pizza. “Delivery address?” said the man- “Table 7”, was the response!
