You can have a rewarding career and live regionally – that’s the message from allinsure’s newest senior account executive, Sarah Townsend.

When she is not working, this Yass resident loves to explore the country where she lives with her husband and two children. Sarah says she loves the country lifestyle, open space and peace the regional area has to offer.

She says with housing developments planned in the area, and the town growing at a rapid pace, Yass has room for plenty of growth.

Sarah’s journey into the insurance broking industry started in 2001 when she joined as a receptionist at a firm in Wagga Wagga and built her way up from there. Her experience in the industry now spans more than 20 years and she says she prefers adopting a personal approach to establishing risk management programs.

“Like others, I fell into insurance and worked my way up,” says Sarah. “Now I am looking forward to joining allinsure as a senior account executive and utilising my wealth of experience to give my best to clients and work with the team at the company.”

The multiple award-winning insurance advisers have been operating since 2007 and have a unique client-first and advice-based culture.

Sarah says she loves meeting clients, getting to know their businesses and building strong relationships.

“Insurance can be hard to understand and by building strong relationships with all our stakeholders we can ensure we obtain the best possible program at the best possible premium.

“I can take the complications out of all the policy exclusions and make it plain and simple for the client,” says Sarah.

“I know that if you are doing a great job for a client, they speak to other likeminded businesses and provide referrals. It is a great way to build relationships.”

Sarah says there are clear synergies between her approach to business and allinsure, which drew her to the new role, which includes building strong relationships and taking a personal approach to help her clients make informed choices about their business.

She has some advice for businesses who are facing tough times because of COVID-19 restrictions, and have been forced to cut down on staff and are now looking to reduce costs.

“It is about businesses getting back to the basics, working with their broker, looking at each policy and trying to get it right for their businesses to be able to move forward,” says Sarah.
