On Saturday 3 November 2012 thousands of motorcyclists traveled to Thredbo to support the Steven Walter Foundation in raising funds for childhood cancer research at the 2012 Snowy Ride. Their goal is a 100% cure rate for children with cancer and over the last twelve years the millions of dollars raised by the ride have helped researchers develop tests to greatly improve cure rates.

Honda Motorcycles Australia is the major sponsor of the Snowy Ride. Not only do they make a large cash contribution each year to the Foundation but they also provide motorcycles as prizes. This year a rider from the ACT won the major prize, a Honda VFR1250 bike valued at $25,000.

If you like big shiny toys, you’ll love this video of bikes at the various ride checkpoints around Thredbo, Charlotte Pass, Jindabyne and Dalgety in New South Wales.
