The trees on the fences were actually commissioned by the government to deter graffiti (really thought that one through)

PBO – of course I’m not referring to him as the creator of stencil art. My comment was directed toward the balloon girl example above. Credit where credit is due etc….

Local artist E.L.K is the shit. I wished I had the cash to buy one of his works!

Ummmm, Think about what you have typed and go and give yourself an uppercut. Banksy did not invent stencil grafitti, he is just one of the more popular artists who made a name for himself and made it more popular.
