The Courier Mail is reporting this morning that ACT Government have relented on their decision to turf out a Child Care Centre from the same building as ESA in Curtin.
There are several things that to me seem out of whack in this whole sad story. Firstly, why would a Child Care Centre be moved as it was rated as a low risk terrorist target, rather than moving ESA out of a suburb thus reducing the risk to the citizenry of Curtin as a whole rather than just the kiddies who pop into Teddy Bears.
Secondly, if the Government is kicking out the Child Care Centre, out of what used to be a school, what assistance is being provided to not only Teddy Bears, but to the community in general in lieu of the fact that said Child Care Centre is being moved? Is the Government helping them find or fund a new centre, or just shifting them and leaving them in the dark?
