Residents of Gungahlin’s newest apartment building will have no excuse not to be in tip-top shape, with The Establishment boasting an outdoor gym, lap-pool, BBQ and cinema.

The outdoor gym is the first of its kind within a Canberra development for residents of the new 14-storey building currently under construction on the northern edge of Canberra.

Geocon head of sales Adam Morgan expects the 272 apartments will attract plenty of attention from first-home buyers, young professionals and owner-occupiers that enjoy an active lifestyle.

“If health, fitness and wellness are important parts of their life, they’ll be completely spoiled for choice, with luxurious private amenities at every turn,” he said.

After working out at the gym, a mountain bike ride around Yerrabi Ponds and a few laps in the pool, residents can wind down with friends in the open-air dining and cinema area.

“The cinema can be booked for private functions and celebrations, and with covered seating and luxurious lounges, BBQ area and breathtaking views of Black Mountain and Gungahlin City, it’s the ideal place for entertaining,” Adam said.

Inspired by the warehouse scene of the 20th century, The Establishment is young and edgy and will bring an inner-city buzz to Gungahlin.

“We wanted to create an architecturally stunning design with all the contemporary luxury cues modern buyers expect,” Adam said.

“The result is this intriguingly raw, industrial feel that’s still very chic.”

He said the landmark building will bring a city vibe to a newly established, fast-growing area.

“Gungahlin is booming and there’s nothing like this in the area,” Adam said.

“It will definitely be attractive to young professionals who can hit the gym and do a few laps in the morning, then suit-up, grab a coffee and walk into the Gungahlin CBD or catch the light rail into the city for work.

“We’ve had a lot of interest from people who want everything on their doorstep and a low maintenance lifestyle with that communal feel among like-minded residents.”

The luxury urban community will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with 50-floor plans to choose from.

Adam says the apartments are affordable for first-home buyers looking to get off the rental roundabout and into the Canberra market, with one-bedroom apartments from $349,000 and two bedrooms starting at $435,000.

The apartments have a contemporary feel, with a choice of two warehouse-inspired palettes of industrial textures and design finishes.

They feature energy-efficient LED lighting throughout, reverse-cycle air conditioning, spacious balconies, glazed aluminum framed windows and flexible floor plans to maximise sunlight.

The kitchens boast stone benchtops and European appliances, while full-height tiling, frameless shower screens and custom vanities bring luxury to the bathrooms.

The development is expected to be completed in early 2023, with commercial spaces on the ground floor expected to house cafes and shops.
