Still disappointing at the fact the Australian Games Expo is not running at the same time as Cancon anymore, and has moved to Sydney.

what!!!! i only went to cancon for that!

Yep, the Australian Games Expo, formerly held in Albury in the June Long Weekend, travelled up the road to Canberra to combine with Cancon and was held on the Australia Day long weekend two or three years.

Now its back on the Queens Birthday Long weekend, and moved further up the road to Sydney, and is now the Toy and Game Expo.

What about Summernats? I thought they used to get a bit of bankrolling too… has that changed since Mr Henry stepped down?

There are many pots of money from many directorates that fund these things, this is but one.

And how much, one wonders, will go back to the ACT coffers for all the compliance costs that are imposed by the Nanny State Capital’s administration?

Surely Corinbank and Cancon are big enough to stand on thier own two feet now? Hell if you can’t run a music festival at a profit, then you should be running a music festival at all. And as for Cancon, they are starting to pull crowds from Sydney and Melbourne now. Surely a bit more marketing and it can go it alone.
