Let me take you on a look in at a home in Red Hill, a unique evolution from a 1960s cottage to a grand expression of modernism.
Phillip and Mary have looked after this home with love and care after its first renovation in the early 2000s and through its second renovation in the 2010s by architect Bruce Townsend.
If you’re familiar with Townsend’s work in Canberra, such as the Space complex in Turner, you will see familiar themes and materials that deliver areas that are bright, inviting and airy.
Phillip and Mary have complemented the architect’s vision and execution with their own style, especially in terms of the use of art internally and externally. We are presented with a unique home that celebrates design, materials and the elevated natural environment it is set in.
Let’s meet Phillip and Mary, as well as Christine from Blackshaw, and take a look inside.
