Melburnians Hello Tut Tut (pictured) specialise in the “sounds of the klezmer, Balkan and gypsy musical traditions”, but also know how to put on a show, being fan favourites here in Canberra. They are currently on tour through east Australia and New Zealand, and will be bringing their show to Canberra this coming Tuesday at Smith’s Alternative, starting at 7 pm.
Trash rock band Satanic Togas will be in town from Sydney on Friday night, playing with Canberra’s greatest one-man band Bo Loserr and Pizzaboys, the show starting at The Phoenix from 6 pm. Meanwhile at Smith’s, Vendulka is returning from a visit to Canada to bring her folk musings to CBR, the show starting at 7 pm.
On Saturday, Pist Idiots and The Chats bring their joint “Endless Bum” tour to Transit Bar, starting from 8 pm, while over at The Basement, indie-pop songwriter from Milton NSW Hein Cooper will be in town, performing from 8 pm with Hey Major opening the show. You can also check out Los Chavos and much much more, earlier in the day at Glebe Park at the Heat Picnic Fiesta, starting from noon.
