Few in the metalcore world hit harder than The Amity Affliction, and they’ll be in town this week as part of their massive Australian regional tour. Head to UC Refectory on Thursday to see these national treasures alongside Alpha Wolf, Terminal Sleep and Run.

The de facto living room of the city for many, Smith’s Alternative is back for the new year this week with a predictably packed lineup of live music. Catch performances from Scandinavian string trio Northern Resonance, pop-jazz loop band MirrorMirror, Australian jazz royalty Major Minority, and spellbinding singer-songwriter William Crighton throughout the week.
