Too many fitness clubs in Tuggers?

Speaking to a rep at Club Lime they said that they had started building a new facility next to the Tuggers pool, which I believe also has a gym. The rep said that as a result, Fitnessfirst was trying to steal their thunder by opening a branch in Tuggeranong by the end of this year.

If anyone has ever been to a Fitnessfirst facility like the one in Civic, they are high class.

In Tuggers, I think there is a womans gym, the one at the pool as I said, two at Erindale and one at Hume. Plus there are several in the Woden (the Southern Cross one owned by a partner in Guru Coffee) and Weston Creek area.

Which begs the question of how many gyms can Tuggeranong suppport?

realityskin – Idiot.

VY yeah hubby said that too 🙂

The people in Tuggeranong (at least those who are in the Hyperdome during the day) are a fair bit larger than those in the inner south / inner north. More gyms, more participation in sports is definitely a good thing.

It’s scary to see first hand the general correlation between fitness and education.

I think it all comes down to your genes. I mean, if two fat people have a kid, the chance of that kid being fat is higher than normal.

Putting that down to genes is a bit of a long shot. The kid is more likely to imitate his/her parents fat behaviours like overeating and hanging out at McDonalds and sitting on their asses over anything genetic.

It’s funny what happens whenever the term ‘liberal party’ is mentioned on the website.

there are quite a few randoms out there

nyssa loves hot anal secks 😀

I’d pay to see that!

Nyssa – Challenge him to a boxing round at the PCYC – seems to be the RiotACT way !

Nyssa is a fiery red head (including the carpet?) hot toned babe? Swooon

I’m sure my husband will be pleased to know I’m batting for the other side…thanks.

lenny, don’t let my temper disuade you, I am a fiery red head who doesn’t suffer fools lightly and that includes ignorant bogans.

actually Nyssa, i have never meet you, i am been an asshole i am sure your a hot toned babe

femininst, butch , lesbian…………..

lenny the average was LARGER in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Look up Marilyn Monroe for starters.

It’s idiots like you that purport the BS belief that “thin in in” that cause the problems.

As for weight issues, the only weights I worry about are the ones I lift and press at the gym, a weedy little idiot such as yourself wouldn’t last long with me.

I think it all comes down to your genes. I mean, if two fat people have a kid, the chance of that kid being fat is higher than normal.

All types of people go to gyms these days though. I always see older people coming in along with the young people. If its taking a step to better health than I think thats a positive thing.

As I said my ex is a size 8 and has been for 35 years, except when pregnant.

She eats all of the time but in sparrow like portions.

She says you are what you eat. Like my sister in law who would eat a 700gm steak plus ice cream dessert.

so when does it end? when the average Aussie women is a size 16, 18… it used to 10 or 12. Men are just as bad, if not worse. Everyone needs to get off there asses and exercise, so I am all for new gyms

Am I sensing some weight related issuces popping up here Nyssa??

BenMac and lenny, you’re a pair of ignorant bogans.

Only people with brains the size of a gnat would suggest something like that.

FYI if you’d actually gone into a gym in the past year or so you would see that there is a spectrum of clientele – from the buff to the fat (who are doing a great thing by attempting to lose weight).

It’s arseholes like you that make society think stick like Paris and Nicole are “acceptable”.

Or didn’t you know the average Aussie woman is a size 14?

every second person in tuggeranong is a fatty, just check out the food court at lunch time, i feel there is plenty of potential customers…

Fitness First in the city is high class???

More like fish-bowl exercise for gym junkies to show off their new over-priced gym outfits to those fortunate enough to be outside of the congested grey mundane exercise equipment. Ok, rant over.

I don’t think Fitness First are really in the position to open up a Tuggers branch just after the opening of Civic. I may be wrong – but its just a thought.

I looked at a gym in tuggers a few years ago when I lived there, and nearly had a heart attack at the yearly membership fee. I could buy all the equipment I would use myself for that amount and have it in my garage! When I was at uni the gym cost 50 bucks a year!

Maybe that’s where all the fat people are.
