After a long week of work, all you want to do is just relax and take it easy over the weekend. Cocktails are one of the finest pleasures in life, and living in Canberra we’re lucky enough to have hundreds to choose from! So here are my personal favourite cocktails that can be found in some of our local bars and restaurants.
1. The Summit Swizzle: Tipsy Bull

Refreshing, delectable and an absolute treat, The Summit Swizzle is packed with flavour. Tipsy Bull has outdone themselves with this cocktail that uses local ingredients like Canberra honey and a Canberra Pale Ale.
So not only is the cocktail delicious, but it’s an illustration of what Canberra businesses can create when they come together.
2. Tea Party: White Rabbit Cocktail Room

A perfect cocktail for a cold winter night, the Tea Party cocktail mixes French earl grey tea with an exotic blend of spices that gives it the beautifully warming taste that so many adore. The cocktail is also served with dried apricots, which just adds to the fresh, exquisite taste.
3. Weis Bar: Shorty’s

A little bit on the fruitier side of things, the Weis Bar cocktail blends mango with cream, and a little bit of coconut that make the cocktail an absolute treat, particularly on a warm Canberra day. Topped with a refreshing lime, the Weis Bar cocktail is sure to please your palette.
4. The Spritz Amaro: Lucky’s Speakeasy

A deliciously refreshing cocktail, The Spritz Amaro is one of the newer additions to the menu at Lucky’s Speakeasy. A bubbly concoction with a fruity taste, this cocktail is sure to please even the pickiest of patrons. With hints of strawberry, orange and fresh mint, this mouth-wateringly fruity cocktail can make even the longest day that little bit better.
5. First Edition Signature Gin, Vol 1: First Edition Bar and Dining

In collaboration with The Canberra Distillery, First Edition’s signature cocktail contains a locally distilled gin created especially for their cocktails. The gin contains hints of juniper, coriander, cinnamon and sage, and is an absolutely delightful experience. First Edition Signature Gin, Vol 1 is a pleasure to taste, with tones of passionfruit, mint and the charming flavour of their signature gin.
