As we face a cold weekend of sub -zero nights, what’s on in the Capital to keep you warm?

This week, we asked our entertainment editors their hot tips for the weekend (they’re a picky bunch so hopefully they will provide some good leads).

Theatre Reviewer John Lombard is attending Cabaret on Saturday night – a performance by the Canberra Philharmonic Society at the Erindale Theatre.

Resident music writer Hannah Haggerty is checking out Flying Colors at the Transit Bar on Friday at 8pm

Purveyor of all that is cool and hip, Josh Mulrine is joining DJ Search at Meche Friday night

Style seeker Heather Lansdowne is looking forward to watching the Brumbies play their last home game of the season at Canberra Stadium (Friday 7.40pm) , although if you are after something a bit more edgy, she also suggests Touch Installation at the Canberra Theatre.

Other Suggestions…

The Truffle Festival is underway this weekend with loads of things to do (and taste).

For kids, the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets are hosting a kids day to celebrate truffles.

The Scandinavian Film Festival is on at Palace Electric with an eclectic range of Scandinavian Films on offer.
