Who is Harry and why does he love gardens? – ACTION Bus ad

Recently I saw an ACTION bus driving around Canberra with a full side advertisement that said ‘HARRY Loves Gardens’ and had a picture of a dog.

I Googled ‘Harry loves gardens’ and came up with nothing.

Does anyone know what this bus advertisement means? Does a really rich person just want Canberra to know that his dog loves gardens, or is this some kind of Gabbo Gabbo Gabbo guerrilla marketing strategy?

What’s Your opinion?

Bringing this thread back from the dead because, after years of wondering, I finally know who Harry is and why he loves gardens. Harry is the mascot for Willow Park Nursey and, Harry is the mascot for Willow Park Nursery. This afternoon I saw a bus with the full version of the ad featuring both Harry and the company logo. I dare say that if this is some sort of attempt at getting noticed by being mysterious then it hasn’t worked.

My apologies to any Leslie Neilsen fans out there.

Perhaps Harry is the dog who keeps defecating on our garden. Maybe Harry leaves his presents everywhere. His owner might not only be disrespectful and lazy but an advertising exec. I’m sure our visitor loves our garden as it returns so often.

Maybe this something to get noticed, and then Harry will be revealed. An ad plan to draw you into it, and you have ‘bitten’ at the bait.
