Why have they decommissioned the BBQs in the John Knight Memorial Park?

There’s no joke so obvious that someone won’t get it.

There are no plans to decommission barbeques in the ACT. Territory and Municipal Services has recently upgraded barbeque facilities at 38 sites across Canberra.

The two barbeques in John Knight Memorial Park are temporarily out of order as they have a problem with the drip tray. Signs were placed on these barbeques stating they are temporarily out of order. The barbeques are expected to be fixed and operational by the end of this week.

Maybe Belconen Community Council (aka: Shirley’s Tea Society) has had them turned off as a sign of respect to the passing of Margaret Thatcher?

No they’re haven’t decommissioned all the bbqs in the ACT – as of 2pm today at least one was working. In the Weston Creek area. Don’t want to say which one in case it’s supposed to be decommissioned and someone has forgotten.
