If you’re still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for the little person in your life, we have the perfect solution thanks to an exciting offer from our partners at the Canberra Motorcycle Centre.
The Canberra Motorcycle Centre (CMC) team have gotten right into the Christmas spirit and lined up a brand new Yamaha Peewee 50 motorcycle valued at $1,950, to be given away to a lucky family in the Canberra region.
From now until 10 am on Christmas Eve, you can go into the draw to win the bike, which CMC staff will deliver to you on the day – just in time for that Christmas morning surprise.
Kane Piper from CMC launched the giveaway on Friday (30 December), and said helping people of all ages find their very first bike is one of his favourite parts of the job.
“The most fun we have is selling a ‘first bike’. Make that a ‘very first bike’, and one we can give away to a local family at Christmas, and it really doesn’t get better than that,” he said.
“CMC Managing Director Dale Brede and I sat down together and decided that this year, we were going to go next level and actually give away a first bike,
“And we both agreed, the PW50 is where it all starts for most,” said Kane.
The popular PW50, or Peewee 50 as it’s commonly known, is like no other bike sold at the Centre, and is ideal for kids aged around 3 to 5 years of age (though it depends on the height and weight of the individual).
Importantly, they’re lightweight, low to the ground, and concerned parents of overly-enthusiastic riders can set a maximum speed limit.
Kane said the bike is a great way to get kids away from their computer screens and into the great outdoors.
“Of course, parents and family members want to know the kids are safe and sound,” he said.
“So it’s important to know these bikes are completely designed to be ridden by children, with easy-to-manage brakes and throttle, the speed limiter, and of course we have plenty of kid-sized safety gear for extra reassurance.
“You’ll have the chance to see your child develop their skills and confidence as they learn to ride, improving their balance and coordination, learning to behave sensibly and learning to get back up when they fall off!
“They also learn care, ownership and responsibility, cleaning and maintaining their very own little bike. We see lots of kids customising their bikes with stickers and other decorations, and really taking pride in it,” said Kane.
All you have to do to enter is spend $100 in store. You get one ticket for every $100 you spend, capped at 10 tickets per transaction, and applies to purchases made across every part of the business – from services, sales, parts and accessories to the Baffles Cafe (full terms and conditions available on the link below).
“Starting up motorcycling can seem overwhelming, let’s face it, and we understand that,” said Kane.
“Winning one simply gets you started without the upfront cost, and puts it within the reach of almost anyone.
“I”d encourage everyone to come on down to the Canberra Motorcycle Centre showroom on Ipswich Street in Fyshwick. You can check out the Peewees we have on display, have a browse around all our products and accessories on sale, grab a delicious lunch in our Baffles cafe, and before you know it, you’ll have yourself an entry in our awesome competition. We can’t wait to draw the winner,” said Kane.
The closing date and time for the receipt of entries in the lottery is 10 am on 24 December 2018. The draw will take place at Canberra Motorcycle Centre at 11 am on 24 December 2018, at 30 Ipswich St Fyshwick ACT.
