This morning I had the pleasure of dining in Canberra’s newest suburb, Queanbeyan. For those who still think Queanbeyan is NSW, it doesn’t really matter as the interstate drive is worth this feed.
The place being the Central Cafe in Queanbeyan, I’d been hearing rumours about their ‘mixed grill’ for over a year now, and since I was in the area, decided to head in to check it out.
There were more animals on that plate than Noah managed to fit on his boat.
That’s right, no less than SEVEN steak sized portions of meat, and then there were sausages and bacon to boot as well. You would think that those items would have taken up most of the plate, but the combination was then enhanced by the other half a plate filled with chips and vegetables, the lot drizzled with a quite scrumptious gravy.
Overall, not too dusty for the just over $20 it cost for the platter, which will probably feed my wife and I through till Monday (we took a doggy bag).
