Following on from this this morning’s very popular exploration of Canberra nightlife by Grey Canberra, Adcorp have been in touch to point us at their entry and to note that theirs got the vote from Gruen’s Russel Howcroft.
Very clever and well worth a watch. We look forward to the YouTube debut of the winning Euro RSCG entry.
Quote “The winning ad – as chosen by an expert panel – is destined never to make it to prime time commercial TV … and not even to the net.
“We’ve decided not to share the video in its entirety since our project quite deliberately pushed the boundaries of good taste!” Ms Burke said.
Those keen to catch a glimpse of how Canberra’s much-maligned nightlife might not be so bad after all can view the two runner-up ad campaigns, from Grey Advertising and Adcorp, below.” end quote
I want to see it now… guess thats what they are going for though yes?
noice
Oh man, that is really, really bad. I would be ashamed to put my name to that.
I wonder if you didn’t miss the punchline?

Yeah, I saw it, doesn’t save it from being unfunny though.
A good effort, but it really needed a zinger at the finish. Most jokes end with a punchline, not a footnote.
I must admit I was expecting the guy in the Raiders shirt to say something rather different …
Definitely not as good as the other one, IMO. That rocks!
Hehe! Love it!
“Get off the road you wanker…..”
“Ahhh f@#k oooofffffff!!!!!!!”
GOLD!!!!
The first one was soo much better.
But seems RSCG are never going to let us see the ad: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/travel/news/go-governmental-ads-aim-to-convince-us-canberra-nightlife-is-the-best-in-the-world/story-e6frezi0-1226072005651
