Actors and fans of the gothic and macabre take note!
Centenary Edge has put out a casting call for its upcoming gothic take on Canberra called Blood & Mortar.

BLOOD & MORTAR“Behind its boosted façade and beyond its corridors of political power lurks The Capital’s deepest darkest secret!”
‘Blood & Mortar’ is an unnaturally disturbing low-budget film. It is built on top of real footage captured by a group of guerrilla film-makers who blundered upon an awful truth at the corrupt heart of a nation.
The Story-
Five 20-somethings get together. ‘The Master’ starts recording plans to complete the shooting of their method-acted horror movie. ‘The Vamp’ completes her transformation, with makeup, from public servant to dark city stalker, off-handedly encouraging the attentions of the burly ‘Wolf’. Meanwhile ‘The Mage’ researches a site for the final scenes on his tablet. They are joined by the final member of the group, ‘The Witch’, as the group agrees upon the location.At the iconic location, characters experience a presence which pervades and acts through the site. For all their bravado and genre savvy they never really believed anything like this existed. The hard core personae which the characters have adopted are shown to be mere trappings that provide them with no defence, yet alone understanding of a greater reality, and are in fact used against and to destroy them.
The Characters appear to be a play on humano horror stereotypes; a play in which the stereotypes are unraveled and real horror is uncovered.
