PENDRAGON PUBLISHING & DESIGN is a Canberra-based boutique publishing house and graphic design business.
Pendragon started out about a decade ago concentrating on logo design, print based graphics, website design and business identity creation. Because the creative directors also love books and authors and feel that a lot of good stories miss out on being told due to the competitiveness of the larger publishing industry, Pendragon has now expanded into small print run publications and are pleased to offer professional editing services.
The creative directors of Pendragon are published authors with skills, experience and qualifications in a range of directly relevant fields including: graphic design; writing for government; creative writing; copy, structural editing and proofreading; scriptwriting, fiction and non-fiction writing, song writing and writing for government. Our complementary skills, qualifications and interests include interior design; horticulture; environmental science; English landscape garden history; music; acting and voiceovers; cultural heritage; teaching and emergency services.
Pendragon is also fortunate enough to be able to draw on a reservoir of talented others when needed with inspirations – design & otherwise – including William Morris, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Edna Walling, JRR Tolkien, Ernest Hemingway, William Wordsworth, Kenneth Grahame, Lewis Carroll, Douglas Adams, Joseph Conrad, CS Lewis and CFA Voysey, among others.
Pendragon Publishing & Design is currently in the process of publishing a new book by local Canberra identity Tim the Yowie Man as well as well as a number of illustrated children’s books, including one illustrated by London based artist Rebecca Willcox, and plans to expand into short print run fiction in 2015.

Capital Reflections
CAPITAL REFLECTIONS is a collection of poetry and thoughts from contemporary Canberran and ex-Canberran authors, poets, musicians and artists.
Rather than simply recounting the features of the National Capital, CAPITAL REFLECTIONS instead provides an insight into how the authors have been shaped by the social, economic and cultural conditions of the city over the years.
CAPITAL REFLECTIONS showcases the musings of sixteen authors across fifty one pieces of work. Included are internationally published poets Brian Rosenburg [Piano] and PS Cottier [Canberra Dawn, Currawong Caught on Plastic Ribbon]. The subjects explored in this anthology range from forlorn shipwrecks [Gayundah], to memories of innocent childhood days [Summer], love lost, won, or regretted [The Roseate, Mere] and earth based belief [Behold, Eternity].
Meditations in Orange (JG Montgomery)
From searching for snowboarders in Kosciuszko, to the 2003 Canberra fires, the tragic mud strewn fields of Grantham, and the aftermath of Cyclone Yasi, Meditations in Orange is a personal, entertaining and often poignant recount of (the author’s) experiences as one of the often undervalued contributors to the essential work of Australia’s emergency service organisations.
