Man sought as police investigate alleged touching of young person at shopping centre

Police have asked a man to come forward as they investigate an alleged “inappropriate contact incident”.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said that at about 11:45 am on Saturday, 12 October 2024, a man was inside the Majura Park Shopping Centre when he allegedly grabbed a young person and touched them inappropriately.

As part of their investigation into the incident, police have released a face-fit image of a man they would like to speak to.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 170 to 175 cm tall, with grey hair and a grey beard.

At the time of the alleged incident, police said the man was wearing a grey/off-white coloured baseball cap with red on the front and a grey checkered shirt.

Police ask that the man depicted in the face-fit present himself to the nearest police station.
