The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils is suing its former treasurer, Ikebal Patel, accusing him of funnelling almost $800,000 to the Islamic School of Canberra.
This move could be tit-for-tat revenge since Patel, a Canberran, got in earlier to accuse the federation of corruption.
