Viva Leisure has opened three boutique gyms at its new Tuggeranong precinct with new technology that brings unprecedented features to members.
Fitness enthusiasts can now enjoy 24/7 access at one of the facilities, huge television screens displaying tailored and virtual workouts, along with the ability to follow a specific workout at a more convenient time through virtual sessions in two of the locations.
Viva Leisure Manager, Fitness and Personal Training, Matt Eikenhout says the rapidly-growing industry leader will be launching a specific model for Hiit-style training with a dedicated Hiit Republic location.
“The attention to detail is evident in the fit-out, this facility is second to none,” Matt says. “As soon as you walk in, you see it is amazing, it has everything we in the fitness Industry get excited about.”
Hiit Republic is on the ground level. Upstairs is Viva Leisure’s first ‘Studio By Club Lime’, a designated group fitness facility with the best equipment possible. Psycle Life is next door to Hiit Republic, and follows the success of the inaugural Kingston Foreshore Psycle Life.
Featuring 41 state-of-the-art Spin Bikes and an inspiring sound system, Psycle Life will offer 18 live classes a week.
The new concept, ‘Studio by Club Lime’ has been specifically designed for group fitness, classes such as body pump, body attack, yoga, balance, and more. In a huge group fitness room, it will open from 4 am to midnight, with 85 virtual classes (on at certain times without an instructor) projected on a magnificent four- metre wide, floor-to-ceiling television screen.
Thirty-one live classes a week will be run from this facility, including Les Mills classes such as GRIT, body balance and body combat.
“It is a fantastic space, an amazing open layout with great lighting to ensure our members enjoy their experience,” Matt says. “It offers the capability of doing a class between 4 am and midnight – the flexibility we all need.
“People are busy, and getting busier, so to have 116 classes on offer in Studio by Club Lime is exactly the options needed,” Matt says.
Located at 171 Soward Way, the 350sqm Hiit Republic, along with a huge Studio upstairs and Psycle Life right next door certainly raises the bar once again. Hiit Republic hosted a pre-opening work-out last week for people involved in the fitness industry. “We received great feedback, the opening went off, the energy in the room and atmosphere was awesome,” Matt says.
Hiit Republic customers will enjoy the wearable MyZone heart rate-based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately monitor physical activity. “During a work-out, you have the options of having your heart rate displayed on a television screen showing you how hard you are working, and you can have a name only you know, shared with our coaches, of course. At the same time, the workouts will be displayed, and the coach will be running you through that workout,” Matt says.
“What is exciting a lot of people is outside of a class, for example, if you miss this morning’s 5:30 am class, and go in later in the day, you can go on Hiit Republic’s screen, look up the workout on one of our television screens, and do it.”
Workouts are stored, enabling access with friends at a later time, outside of peak periods. This means people stay up-to-date with classes, and avoid having an unforeseen setback, like a family illness.
“We have a variety of different classes, one we are excited about is our ‘coaches personal workouts – the best workouts our coaches have run through themselves, offering the opportunity to see how you stack up against the coaches,” Matt says.
“Our coaches at Hiit Republic have been with Viva Leisure for several years, we are fortunate to have a huge pool to select from, and put the best team we possibly can into these facilities. Jenna Louse and Scott Evennett are running classes for us, training there regularly. People love them,” Matt says.
Platinum Club Lime members can upgrade to Hiit Republic access, or enjoy access to both Studio by Lime and Psycle Life.
Matt says the Viva Leisure team is a growing organisation but has its feet firmly grounded in a culture focused on community and family values. “Getting the right people on board, and being surrounded by good people, the rest follows,” Matt says.
To celebrate the Tuggeranong opening, ‘Multi Hiit Republic Membership and a Platinum Club Lime membership (all Club Lime locations) is being offered for only $34.90. Matt says this is a steal. “We wanted to offer something affordable for people to improve their lifestyle and enjoy training in this fantastic space.”
