Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after the same car was involved in two crashes within a short space of time on Canberra’s roads.

ACT Policing said the dark blue Toyota RAV4 was originally involved in a collision with an orange motorbike on the Tuggeranong Parkway, near the off-ramp to Lady Denman Drive, at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday (20 November).

Despite this crash, police said the RAV4 was driven away and continued heading south on the Tuggeranong Parkway.

The car was then involved in a second collision a short time later with a black Mercedes at the Cotter Road and Tuggeranong Parkway off-ramp intersection.

“In the second incident, the RAV4 was believed to be facing against the flow of traffic,” a police spokesperson said.

“Police have already spoken to some witnesses; however, they would like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the collisions or who may have dash-cam footage that captures either of the incidents.”
