Woman cut from taxi after two-vehicle accident

A woman had to be cut free from a taxi after a two-vehicle accident in Barton on Friday morning (2 August).

Around 8:30 am, ACT Fire and Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service responded to a two-vehicle incident on the corner of Kings Avenue and Blackall Street, Barton.

Firefighters safely extricated one female passenger, removing the entire roof of the vehicle with hydraulic rescue tools.

Paramedics assessed and treated two patients on the scene before they were both transported to hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating.
