Canberra Liberals leader Elizabeth Lee’s family has grown to four with the arrival of her second daughter.
Baby Ava was born on Wednesday (5 April). Ms Lee said her arrival came “a little earlier than anticipated” this week, but her older daughter Mia was already smitten with her younger sister.
“I am grateful for the support from my colleagues across the political spectrum and thank everyone for their well wishes,” she said.
“I would particularly like to thank our amazing healthcare team and, in particular, my family for their incredible support.
“Nathan and I look forward to spending time with Mia and Ava over the next couple of months before I return to the Legislative Assembly.”
Jeremy Hanson will be the acting leader of the Canberra Liberals until Ms Lee’s return from maternity leave.
