So my merry Rioters, where will you be revelling this weekend?

What’s worth seeing and doing out and about?

Just got my grubby little hands on a copy of the Cashews album (Small Ponds) which is being launched tomorrow: http://the-riotact.com/?p=8233

Only up to track six, but so far, so great.

If you were listening to JB and Marianne’s Riot ACT wrap on 2XX this afternoon, you would have heard ‘things you do’. I’m now doing a mixed show on Artsound FM tomorrow from 11.30am to 2pm and will play a couple of Cashew Alison Procter’s fave tracks at about midday.

Tomorrow’s launch gig at Ainslie should be an absolute cracker.

Also Dianne Fogwell – works on paper is opening at the Beaver Gallery, Nude Studies at the Solander Gallery, and Canberra Dance Theatre’s CDT Teens is opening.

Apparently today is the RSPCA cupcake day in the ACT.

They’re available at Fairbairn and Curtin with a stand near Muffin Break in the Hyperdome tomorrow (won’t Muffin Break be thrilled?)

Couple of things – Saturday 10am till 4pm Flight Centre Canada and Alaska Expo. Always worth a look, I’ve gotten some fantastic travel deals at these things over the years, and its free.

Sunday Raiders v Knights 2pm kick off, Bruce Stadium. Both teams are in good form, and looking to consolidate for the finals, so it should be a cracker of a game, and the Raiders deserve a bigger crowd than the paltry 6500 (of which i was a part) people who showed up to watch the Raiders post a record score over the Panthers. Get out and support the Raiders!!
