After yesterday’s little flurry from the Motorists we have a 7 point policy platform:

AMP PLATFORM – POINTS OF PRIMARY IMPORTANCE

1. Community Issues. To include – health, education and training. Housing and aged care. Community involvement. City maintenance.

2. The ACT Justice System. To include – Law and order. Court reforms. Youth at risk programs. Review of penalties and deterrents. Prison reform.

3. Motoring. To include – Public transport. Fuel policy. Motorsport and other enthusiast activities.

4. Small Business. Set-up incentives. Reduction of Govt. red tape. Employment laws. Risk management and other compliance issues. Land tax impediments.

5. Tourism. To include – Whatever it takes to make Canberra an attractive place to visit, to stay in and to generate a positive memory.

6. Entertainment, sport, recreation and the Arts.

7. Public Sector. To include – Local governance. Relationships with the Federal Government. Emergency Services. Public service relationship with the community.

Glad we’ve cleared that up!

What’s Your opinion?

I for one reckon they don’t sound that bad. I quite like the idea of someone other than the 2 mainstream parties having a place in the assembly. The greens are good in this way because they interrupt the bipartisan debate and throw some other perspectives and issues and debates into the mix. The only problem with the greens is that their greeny agenda usually is the opposite of what I want done. Although they have had some sensible policies lately and seem to be doing their homework more and being more realistic.

If they take down speed cameras and introduce proper driver training requirements, that’d be a decent improvement. When you think about it, most of the general day to day operations will run the same regardless of the government, as it is run by the public servants. So it’s just the different ideas that make the difference. They aren’t druggo bogans, as some believe. I saw them meeting once and they looked like regular joes to me. I like that they are being political and trying to make a difference.

Thanks for your input Chic.

You can’t be serious! 😀 I mean, sure I agree that it’s good to get some diversity on the ballot paper but this brief was obviously composed by an ape with attention deficit disorder.

In summing up, it’s the Constitution, it’s motorsport, it’s justice, it’s law, it’s the vibe, and, uh … No,? that’s it. It’s the vibe.

I thought the Liberals were the laziest, most incompetent party in this town, wow.

That’s an interesting comment from a “fair and balanced, neutral political observer”

Your agenda hasn’t got past me!!!!!!

*clap, clap* nice work sherlock, your powers of deduction astound me.
The thing that amazes me is that I was able to type that with a straight face. That and that no one call d me on it.

Maybe it should read ” 1 fix roads n stuff 2 – make sure kiddies are learning yeah. 3 everyone off the road at 530 fix that traffic prob. 4 paint the town red for tourism yeah?”

And so on you get the drift (pun) points are far to generalised , however what more can we expect from Chick “show us ya “ henry

Boy, I should start my own party. It appears to be pretty easy.

I’m guessing most of the meeting was Burl trying to get Chic to shave his head and put on the matching shirt.

Once last orders were called in the bar they got down to nutting these bad boys out.

Are they for or against these things?

colourful sydney rac 11:38 am 07 Sep 12

Employment laws for small businesses? So they are going to override Commonwealth legislation, what an interesting idea.

morons.

It is said that “The Devil is in the details”, but there’s a whole world of ancient evil in a sentence that’s just “Employment laws.”
