katy Gallagher is basking in some reflected glory over the ACT’s immunisation rates:

The 2011 September quarter figures contained in the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) are compiled from data collected from immunisation providers on vaccinations given to children up to seven years of age.

“I’m pleased to announce that the ACT has again achieved the highest coverage rates in Australia for all children at 12 months, 2 years and 5 years, and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children at 12 months of age,” the Chief Minister said.

Having no rural population to speak of should help.
