ACT records 718 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 718 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 414 identified by PCR and 304 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 41 people in hospital, including two in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 98.3 per cent and 73.3 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 16,807 new cases and 11 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 9008 new cases and two deaths.
