Police were investigating whether two cars in a crash on the Majura Parkway were involved in street racing.

Officers had received several reports about the driving behaviour of a blue Holden hatchback and a silver Nissan Pulsar travelling north on the motorway at about 1:30 pm on Sunday (25 September), prior to the collision.

They’re seeking dashcam footage of the cars before the crash occurred, as well as the crash itself or footage depicting the drivers of either vehicle.

Any witnesses who have yet to speak with police, or anyone with knowledge of the incident, have also been urged to get in touch.

Police said it was possible either vehicle may have been recorded “driving erratically” earlier in the day.
