- **Casting call**
Love Cupboard is a brand spankin’ new one act play, which will be performed during the week of 30 March – 4 April.
It’s about love, it’s about missing people, and it’s about philosopher Plato’s essay, “The Cave”.
After her parents forbid her from seeing her boyfriend, Annabel runs away from home. While her parents and friends search for her, convinced she is dead, Annabel is really hiding out in a cupboard at her boyfriend Warren’s place. Or is she?
Looking for people for the following roles:
Annabel – 19, but an old soul, whimsical, imaginative, sweet.
Warren – her boyfriend, twenties, means well but doesn’t quite understand her.
Riana – Warren’s flirty work colleague.
Morgan – popular local radio DJ, philosophical, impervious to Riana’s charms.
Mr Claren & Mrs Claren – Annabel’s parents, mid fifties. He is stern, can’t deal with emotions. She compensates by being over-emotional.
Lucy – teens, cute, bubbly, Annabel’s best friend.
