For many years while driving along Parkes Way, I’ve seen these stairs. So I took a walk to check them out…
It is an old concrete stairway near where Parkes Way enters the Glenoch Interchange, at the base of Black Mountain. It looks old and doesn’t look like it is part of the Parkes Way or the nearby water channel, so perhaps it pre-dates the dual lane road?
