For those not of a mind to go the Summernats to see strippers and get punched by revheads last night there was an alternative.

Loadedog’s Backyard Bacchanalia for January was held on the first Saturday of the month, as is its wont.

A very large, happy, diverse, crowd ate drank and were merry in Loadedog’s backyard while being entertained by some of the finest live music talent this town has to offer.

Here’s a slideshow of the evening’s merriment both for those who missed out, and those who would like to remember it a little more clearly. The slideshow features two songs by the local music impresario Ben Drysdale, and his band Smitten.

Also performing on the night were Slim Pickens and Round John Virgin, Alison Procter, Ali Parraga, Quagmire, and the Ocean Moses as well as a raft of poets and performers from the crowd once the amps went off around 11pm.
