Brightly dawns the day! Corinbank is here

When I heard that the legendary american metal worker Johnny Payphone was making the fire bins for the Corinbank Festival I was thinking it would be artistic bits cut out of conventional bins.

So when I saw this beast (one of many) being test fired on Tuesday night I was gobsmacked by just how cool it is. (If you’re interested in having one of these for your backyard BBQ’s make Johnny an offer during the festival)

Today’s the big day, Corinbank 09 is here and I’m stoked to be heading up the mountain this afternoon. The organisers have very kindly agreed to provide some of their remote bandwidth and we’ll be filing reports each morning of the events from the night before.

If you’ve never gone camping at a festival before, the excitement is really right up there with heading off on an overseas trip.

Remember you need to buy your ticket before you head up the mountain.

Other top tips are in the 2009 Survival Guide and the Festival Program.

Hope to see you there!

In the program you’ll note that the younger people are to disappear from certain areas at 6:30pm then the entertainment is for an older audience.

Some freakazoid put up a poster in our work kitchen for that carry on.

“heavy petting zoo”

“Under 16’s free”

This could be wilfull misinterpretation. Perhaps thier poster writers need a clean feed.

looks interesting, but I have already arranged to go and molest some natives instead.

I’m off there saturday morning. Probably heading there from tuggernong.

I get back into town Saturday arvo and although will likely be dead to the world REALLY REALLY want to go to Corinbank that night/Sunday.

If anyone has car space for Saturday night/Sunday please post a note and I`ll get in contact.
