Brisbane trembling before the heavy footfalls of the Raiders’ big men

johnboy 2 September 2010 5

The Brisbane Times is readying their faithful for disappointment and talking up the men in green.

Anyone who saw Shillington brush aside a quarter of Cowboys defenders last week as he smashed his way through for a try in the 48-4 romp knows the kind of power that resides in his hulking frame. It was like a semi-trailer mowing down some piñatas.

Now he’s Brisbane’s problem, along with fellow prime movers Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Dane Tilse and the rest of a relentless and resilient Raiders forward pack that has beaten up the best in the league on a game run to the top eight.

Let’s hope the Raiders aren’t buying the hype.

Hype or no hype, Brisbane’s going to get pantsed on live TV by Canberra. We’re going to be the last link in the chain of events that sees the Broncos miss the finals for the first time in 19 years. 😀 😀 😀
