Bus services will be temporarily suspended between 10 am and 2 pm on Wednesday 30 October 2013 to allow for an essential scheduled meeting of ACTION drivers, transport officers and special needs transport staff to discuss their enterprise agreement, James Roncon, Director, Public Transport, announced today.

“The Transport Workers Union (TWU) has requested a meeting of their members to discuss details around ACTION’s enterprise agreement,” Mr Roncon said. “The meeting of up to 650 employees has been scheduled for Wednesday 30 October 2013.

“As a result, bus services will not run between 10 am and 2 pm on Wednesday. Buses will remain in operation for the morning peak period and be back on the road prior to the afternoon peak.”

Don’t you think a stop work meeting to discuss an enterprise agreement is a bit old fashioned?

Surely the union can write to their members? Or record the meeting and publish on YouTube?
