Chief Minister Gallagher is taking credit for Canberra’s good rankings on immunisation of children:
ACT Chief Minister and Minister for Health Katy Gallagher MLA has welcomed the ACT results in the report on Immunisation coverage rates in Australia released by the National Health Performance Authority (NHPA).
“The report shows that the ACT has high immunisation rates for all children and immunisation coverage is above the national average in age groups of one year, two years and five years,” the Chief Minister said.
“The national immunisation program is a vital element of any society. The health of all of us relies on the participation of all in protecting us – particularly vulnerable people and children – from becoming unwell.
A wealthy and highly education population taking care of its own.
Things look less rosy for the Government when you see a major under performance on immunisation rates of indigenous children in the ACT (pg 2).
