Has anyone ever heard of a game called Canberra? Apparently you can buy it online from Walmart.

Franklin Sports Canberra is an outdoor family game from “Down Under.” It’s an action-packed, fun-filled target game placed and scored similar to American horseshoes that can be played by all ages and in a much smaller area.

Looks kinda silly if you ask me.

Isn’t that Ultima ? the frizbee sport ?

Down Under could be a US Base, Antarctica perhaps?
Even then, “Canberra” is misrepresentation.
Grounds for a class action?

Must be new, I never saw it in the two Walmarts I patronised up til recently!

perhaps it is being marketed by former MP Keating-
the game they play at the arse end of the world !-

Cornhole the game – Canberra the game. Combined we get Cornholed in Canberra, a service no doubt offered in some of the more lubricious establishments in Fishwyck.

We’ve been sold out to the Americans again!! This calls for a public stoning!

… Please? Come on, we haven’t had one in sooo long 😉

Ogrex, I’m not sure it’s really that family safe if you look at the other definitions of cornhole.

Perfect Analogy for the Act govt – throwing things down black holes with very thought, for very little return.

Doh… throw, not through.

Also very similar to another backyard game called cornhole. Cornhole involves slanted target boards with a hole through which you attempt to through mini beanbags.

I’ve got family in the states that play this regularly. For the record, the name comes from the fact that the beanbags are usually filled with dried corn kernels (popping corn).

Official wiki entry.

And yes, it is boring but it’s family-safe, and more entertaining if you’re drinking.

It looks pretty boring – maybe that’s why it’s called Canberra?

Designed for pocket sized Gungahlin backyards?
