This Friday, the NFSA presents the Canberra premiere of Kindred, a new documentary about family, love and loss. Also, on Friday, the NFSA celebrates the 10th anniversary of Vinyl Lounge with an appearance from Greg Evans (remember Perfect Match?) And on Thursday, the SCIENCE. ART. FILM. series continues with a free screening of Total Recall and a discussion about sci-fi and ‘real world’ research.

Join the Canberra Symphony Orchestra String Quintet and Rachael Thoms for an outdoor musical journey that pays homage to the season of rebirth. Government House Open Day

Tour the house and gardens of one of the most historic properties in Australia, Government House. Take one of several free non-ticketed guided walking tours held throughout the day, and after, spread a picnic rug and take in the atmosphere and views. La Fiesta Latin American Festival

This free and inclusive, all-ages celebration will transform the heart of Canberra’s City Centre into a vibrant festival of Latin American food, music, art, culture and dance. There’ll be games and activities and a display of art that embodies the spirit of Latin American nations. Locals and visitors will also be treated to a diverse range of more than 10 Latin artists from around Australia.
Music & Mayhem: Rebellion

The cast is queer and the music is rebellious. Music & Mayhem: Rebellion is a live performance revue about rebellion, living authentically and doing the unexpected, particularly through a queer lens. Canberra band nonbinarycode will perform live, alongside fire eating, water dancing in a giant martini glass, drag, sideshow, butoh, feather fan dancing, fan veil dancing and burlesque.
Oaks Estate Floriade Festival

The National Vintage Guitar Expo celebrates vintage and rare acoustic and electric guitars, amplifiers and accessories from around Australia. Expo visitors can meet and talk with makers and exhibitors, participate in interactive demonstrations and workshops, browse a display of historic instruments, attend a special concert and explore everything to do with the world of guitars.
