The SMH informs us that the Canberra based Pinkettes, made up of Brittney McGlone, Laura Juliff, Casey Hodges and Jessica Penny from the AIS have taken out the Venus Embrace Closest Stiletto Race at Sydney’s Circular Quay.

They’re taking the prize money for a holiday in Phuket.

UPDATE: Video footage posted to YouTube by “timesofearth” and we should note the ladies set a world record with their toe tapping run.

Was it for charity? Check out 1 minute 13 seconds – strapped ankles. Ouch!

Doesn’t the AIS pay them enough already?

They’ll be sorry when they have bunions, heel spurs, and a bad back from wearing those stilettos – these things will resonate long after the trip to Phucket has ended (tries to bend and put orthotics into Docs).
